Patch of Bluebells

I had put this aside because it was no longer spring so I was no longer interested in bluebellsūüėĄ. Then came the 10 minute challenge which motivated me to get it done so I could put away the cloth and yarn for this to make way for a new project. Since then I've been hooking almost every day and will soon have this piece finished! ¬†I'll probably still have some tweaking to do at the end, but I wouldn't be doing any hooking at all right now if it weren't for the challenge - so thank you for suggesting it! ¬†I'm excited to start on the blue sea abstract next.¬†

My 10+ minutes was to continue to hook on this project. I am not happy about the background but it may just have to be that way. I bought the blue years back so can’t replace it. I could mix other colors in it I suppose. It seems like there is just too much background to the design.10629266266?profile=RESIZE_710x

Baa….

This piece was started several years back. It seemed like the perfect project to do 10+ minutes on. Butter Mold Sheep, by Prairie Road Designs by Sheila.

Pillow July 22

I just finished the May kit of the month-Bella Garden. I found the background a challenge but persevered.

I made it into a small pillow

10 minute a day challenge

Finished the Deanna Fitzpatrick pattern "Pinks in the garden" for my first week of the challenge. It was the first hooked pillow that I've done. Love this challenge!

I purchased this design years back but can't tell you it's name or the designer, unfortunately. Tonight’s 10+ minutes involved working on this piece. It is unlabeled and was originally a punch needle design. I believe I bought it in Wisconsin. It is a small piece which I think will make a nice pillow.10617348260?profile=RESIZE_710x

I love flowers especially roses

Years back, I was involved in the Ten minute challenge, suggested by rug hooker April DeConick. The point is to spend at least that amount of time working on your projects every day. It might not seem like a lot but your projects get done sooner than waiting for when you have a large block of time to do it. Deanne Fitzpatrick has also been promoting that idea again so here is what I put my 10+ minutes on last night. It uses some of same yarns and fibers as the tulip rug I was working on the night before.10599268460?profile=RESIZE_710x

I want to show you some little tips here on the Pom members site. Right now I am crazy about flower pots. These are very simple designs I am doing right now but it is their simplicity that is difficult to carry off. For this orange pot I used sexy jersey and highlighted it with rust slub. I wanted a clean looking pot with not too much colour . The pot cannot compete with the flowers in these rugs. The pot has a very simple shape. Lean and long, and only two colours mixed together. I think it…

Playful is best

Hey everyone, I have not had coffee or eaten my breakfast yet but I had an urge to visit with you here.  Right now I am so excited. It's thursday so we do our live which always gets me rolling. Last week I took a long walk on the marsh with friends and while there we began playing with our portrait mode on our iphones using the studio light mode and we got some fun results. I just wanted to show you what I discovered just by playing.…
